1. TUNINDEX Index
TUNINDEX is the benchmark index of the Tunis Stock Exchange. Launched with a base value of 1,000 as at 31 December 1997, it is a free‑float market‑capitalisation–weighted index covering companies listed on the main market. The index is also calculated and disseminated in US Dollars and in Euros.
2. TUNINDEX20 Index
TUNINDEX20 measures the performance of the twenty largest and most liquid free‑float market capitalisations on the main market. It is free‑float market‑capitalisation–weighted with a base value of 1,000 as at 31 December 2006. Designed for replication and to serve as a benchmark, it is used by portfolio managers to assess performance. Two variants are available: TUNINDEXprice20 (price‑return, dividends not reinvested) and TN VWAP20 (valued at the volume‑weighted average price – VWAP). TUNINDEX20 and TUNINDEXprice20 are also calculated and disseminated in US Dollars and in Euros.
3. Sector indices
The sector indices track market performance by industry segment. Introduced with a base value of 1,000 as at 31 December 2005, they are free‑float‑based and structured according to the Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB). They are calculated at two ICB levels—Industry and Supersector—providing both broad and granular sector exposure.
